This movie is a re-imaging of the original Apes movies. You guys said it your selves. They pay homage to All of the Ape movies with the different easter egss. I disagree with the comments about about Fenton's character. He played a kid who liked to torture the apes, thought of himself as a big shot and a bully. He played it perfectly and received justice by Cesar.
