Something always bothered me about "First Contact" - Cochrane invented warp drive, but there is no mention of the inertial dampener. They get "pushed back" into their seats, but without ID, it would take a year to accelerate to light at 1G.

Good point. I guess some details always fall through the cracks. Still, great flick
